We like saving a buck or two when we go out to eat, and it’s amazing how many deals are available, especially to those who are 50 and older. If you’re wondering what restaurants give senior discounts, you might be surprised by how many we found and the amount of money you can save.
Those of you who are fond of delicacies from the ocean will be pleased to know we have a few fantastic seafood restaurants on the list.
Captain Steve’s. When you’re dying for seafood served in a casual atmosphere, look no further than Captain Steve’s. Their menu is diverse and has two and three fish meals, so you can try a variety of dishes. They have a senior citizen discount, but there are a few restrictions. The discount only applies on Wednesdays, you must dine in, and only on their large fried platters. Of course, when you receive 20% off the bill, fried fish tastes pretty good. Captain Steve’s is found in Charlotte, NC.
The GrandE Buffet and Grill. This North Charleston restaurant offers an extremely wide variety of buffets. Their cuisine includes American, Mexican, and Chinese! If you aren’t sure what you’re in the mood for, this place is just the ticket. Their Chinese buffet includes raw oysters, shrimp, sushi, and a little bit of Korean influence with their beef kalbi. They have a 10% discount for seniors over 60, but it’s available for dine-in customers only. Visit them in South Carolina.
The Shrimp Connection. Another way to score great seafood is to visit The Shrimp Connection in High Point or Colfax, North Carolina. They boast the finest quality of seafood and consider themselves weekend warriors. Why, you make ask? Because they call themselves “roadside peddlers of fine distinction.” Their tongue-in-cheek approach to their work extends to their discounts for seniors. The Shrimp Connect will knock off 8% of any size order for people who are 65-99 years old and 40% off to those lucky few who are 100 and over!
Crackpot Seafood. This award winning seafood restaurant in Towson, Maryland is renowned for their Maryland crab cakes. What’s more is they offer steamed crabs year round. If you aren’t particularly partial to crustaceans, don’t worry. The Crackpot serves steaks, prime rib, and pasta. They also enjoy honoring veterans. Each vet that goes in has a name plaque put on their “HEROES LEDGE,” which is featured prominently across the dining room. Early eaters get 15% off their meals when you dine between 3 and 6 pm. Seniors receive 10% discounts during lunch hours.

If you use your smartphone and download their app, you receive exclusive discounts on their popular burgers, fries, and coffee and soft drinks.
